Therapeutic Massage
This is a non accredited course; however this course is embedded within the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice.
True satisfaction comes from the art of giving. In this course you will be shown the practical skills and techniques of a full body relaxation massage.
Many of today's health problems can benefit from massage therapy because the manipulation of soft tissues affects so many of our bodily systems. The benefits of massage are extensive. Massage therapy treatments will have a therapeutic affect and improve health by acting directly on the muscular, nervous, circulatory and lymphatic (immune) systems. Massage therapy is also effective in the control of chronic or acute pain, in stress reduction, and in creating a sense of relaxation and well-being.

- Ethical massage and appropriate speed and pressure

- Introduction to tapotement/percussion techniques
- Pre and post event massage techniques used in sports
